This first ZooFish Arts project at St Ann’s Hospital came to an end on 6th December with a temporary exhibition in the meeting room. Great to see the work hung, and a pleasure really that most of the participants couldn’t be there because they had moved on and left the Hospital’s care…. Working with Mike Oates, Chaplain, and the OT staff of the hospital the 10 week project created new work to install either around the grounds or in the new Reception area.
The two mosaic seats at the heart of this project wil be installed in the next week or so in the hospital grounds – we hope to be able to make more in 2014.
Thanks to staff and other service users who did enjoy a glass of fizzy grape juice with us and a tour of the work. Especial thanks to Mike, Debbie, Ali, and all the OT staff who made this possible.
ZooFish have more funding to start a second project at the hospital in January 2014. We have lots of ideas for new and different work – including print making and more ceramics – in the meantime these images will give a flavour of what the first group achieved.
And some images or work in progress…
